Tesco and Unilever CEOs: It's Time to Step Up on Sustainability
The recent Sustainable Retail Summit in London saw some pretty powerful statements about sustainability in the grocery world. We've been reading all about it in this Grocery Gazette article, and it's got us feeling fired up!
Lack of Sustainability Punished
Tesco's own Ken Murphy didn't mince words, stating that businesses ignoring sustainability will be "punished" by consumers.
Ouch!
But he's right. Shoppers are more eco-conscious than ever, and they're willing to walk away from brands that don't align with their values.
Unilever's CEO Hein Schumacher agreed, saying it's "time for [businesses] to step up." He also made a great point about the need for government regulation to ensure everyone's playing by the same rules.
Be A Part Of The Solution
At Vertical Vendors, we're proud to be part of the solution. Our sustainable displays are designed to help brands and retailers reduce their environmental impact while still creating eye-catching displays that drive sales.
So, if you're looking for a way to boost your sustainability credentials and impress your customers, you know who to call! 😉
