Big News! We're Officially a Carbon Reduced Operation!

Here at Vertical Vendors, we're absolutely chuffed to announce some fantastic news: we've officially been certified as a 'Carbon Reduced Operation' by Carbon Quota! This is a huge milestone for us, and it means we've successfully reduced our carbon footprint by a rather impressive 64.8 tonnes!

You might be wondering what that actually means in real terms. Well, that reduction is equivalent to flying 8.7 times around the world in economy class, or driving 237,000 miles! It also means our intensity ratio of CO2e per tonne of substrate fell by 24% from 22/23 to 23/24. We're incredibly proud of this achievement, and it reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact.

This significant reduction wouldn't have been possible without the brilliant work of Carbon Quota. They're an independent certification body that rigorously assesses and certifies greenhouse gas emissions. Their team digs deep, analysing every aspect of a company's carbon output on a bi-annual basis. They then calculate the improvements made and independently verify the progress, providing that all-important certification. It's a really thorough process, ensuring that businesses like ours are making genuine, measurable reductions.

We've been working with Carbon Quota, and their expertise has been invaluable in helping us understand and improve our environmental performance. They assess everything from company vehicles and heating to purchased electricity, waste, office management, commuting, and business travel. This deep dive gives us a clear picture of where we stand and how we can continue to make a positive difference.

Our journey towards greater sustainability isn't just about certifications; it's ingrained in how we operate. We've taken proactive steps, for instance, by designing our products for re-use and recyclability. We also recently introduced recyclable packaging to minimise waste.

We believe in making a tangible difference, and this certification from Carbon Quota is a testament to those efforts. If you're interested in learning more about how businesses can reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future, we highly recommend checking out Carbon Quota's website. They provide fantastic insights and support for companies looking to make a real impact.
